The goal is not simply to own autonomous vehicles. It is to build a fleet business that can add earning assets without adding the same amount of staffing, infrastructure, and daily coordination.
A viable fleet still needs platform access, lawful commercial operation, insurance, parking, charging, cleaning, service, local response, and a clear view of whether each vehicle is ready for service.
TREVLER provides the ecosystem of people, places, and services around the fleet. The TREVLER App makes that ecosystem easier to manage. The driving system remains the responsibility of the applicable autonomous vehicle platform.
TREVLER helps you scale the fleet while keeping the operation simple.
Compare operating approaches
| Approach | Owner control | Daily workload | Pricing model |
|---|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself | Highest | Highest | Direct operating costs |
| Managed operator or depot | Lower | Low | Often retainer plus revenue share |
| TREVLER | High | Low routine workload | Fixed platform fee plus selected services |
TREVLER’s robotaxi fleet calculator lets you explore monthly revenue and included operating-cost assumptions. The output is a planning estimate, not profit or a guarantee.
What Tesla has—and has not—confirmed
Tesla’s Robotaxi interest form includes an option to express interest in Cybercab fleet-vehicle purchasing. It is a request to be considered for future opportunities—not a published purchase program, order, delivery schedule, or confirmation of private-owner network access or terms.
Tesla has not published a general list of vehicles approved for private-owner Robotaxi use. TREVLER is testing its service workflows with Model 3 and Model Y vehicles; that testing does not mean those models, or any Tesla equipped with Full Self-Driving, are approved for private commercial Robotaxi operation. Confirm vehicle, software, market, and owner eligibility directly with Tesla before committing capital.
Can you own a robotaxi fleet today?
Not broadly yet. Private and commercial participation depends on Tesla or another robotaxi platform enabling eligible vehicles, owners, and fleets in a market. The platform, applicable law, insurance requirements, and local operating conditions will determine what is permitted.
That means a prospective owner should not assume that a vehicle is eligible for unsupervised commercial robotaxi service merely because it has driver-assistance hardware or software. Confirm eligibility and commercial terms with the applicable platform before making a purchase or investment decision.
The real challenge is growing without growing the workload
One vehicle may be manageable through calls, texts, spreadsheets, and individual vendor relationships. That approach becomes harder to sustain as a fleet adds vehicles or enters another city.
TREVLER is designed to replace that patchwork with a repeatable operating model. Owners gain access to local people, parking, charging, and service capacity while the TREVLER App keeps assignments, updates, documentation, costs, and exceptions together.
More robotaxis. More earning potential. Not more operational chaos.
What a future robotaxi fleet owner should prepare
- Vehicle and platform eligibility. Identify which vehicles the robotaxi platform approves for private or commercial participation in the intended market.
- Business and ownership structure. Determine who will own the vehicles, manage the fleet, receive revenue, keep records, and make operating decisions.
- Insurance and legal requirements. Work with qualified professionals who understand the jurisdiction, vehicle use, commercial activity, property access, and participant responsibilities.
- Parking and staging. Plan where vehicles can wait, reposition, receive attention, and remain accessible without relying on unsuitable residential space.
- Charging. Understand charging access, turnaround time, scheduling, payment, and how vehicles return to service.
- Cleaning and inspection. Establish how cabins and exteriors will be checked, cleaned, documented, and made ready for the next ride.
- Maintenance and exception response. Build relationships for routine service, towing, repair, damage response, and situations automation cannot resolve by itself.
- Fleet visibility. Track which vehicles are ready for service, in service, charging, waiting for attention, or unavailable.
Put the routine on autopilot. Keep control of the business.
A fleet can grow more easily when the operating process works for the first vehicle and can be repeated for the next one. Define how a need is reported, who receives the assignment, how work is verified, what the owner sees, and how the vehicle returns to earning.
Robotaxi needs something → TREVLER finds local capacity → Vehicle gets back to earning
The TREVLER App automates routine assignments, updates, documentation, and service tracking, then brings the owner in when a decision or exception needs attention. The owner stays in control.
Build local coverage before adding vehicles
The number of vehicles is only one part of fleet readiness. Each market needs enough nearby people, parking, charging, and service capacity to support those vehicles when they need attention.
TREVLER is building early coverage first in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, followed by Tampa, Orlando, and Miami. Other cities will be added as they become ready and market access develops.
Questions to ask before you buy
- Is this exact vehicle eligible for private or commercial robotaxi participation?
- Is the intended city open, and under what operating conditions?
- What insurance, licensing, tax, and regulatory requirements apply?
- Where will each vehicle park and charge?
- Who responds when a vehicle needs cleaning, service, or physical attention?
- How will readiness, costs, completed work, and exceptions be tracked?
- What assumptions would change the economics of the fleet?
The opportunity is to prepare a repeatable business around the vehicles before broad private robotaxi ownership opens—so owners can move faster when access arrives without treating future eligibility or earnings as guaranteed.
