Existing detailing skills can transfer
Future robotaxi assignments may range from a quick interior reset to a specialized cleaning job. Mobile detailers may already have many of the skills and tools needed to perform this work efficiently.
Potential assignments could include:
- Removing trash and left-behind items according to instructions.
- Vacuuming seats and floors.
- Cleaning touchpoints and interior surfaces.
- Cleaning glass.
- Addressing spills or larger messes.
- Exterior spot cleaning or a scheduled wash.
- Photographing the vehicle before and after service.
- Reporting damage, odors, or conditions needing attention.
- Confirming that required supplies are present.
Not every assignment will be the same. Owners should be able to define the work required, and workers should be able to see the job details and total pay before deciding whether to accept it.
Why speed and documentation matter
Robotaxis only earn when they are moving and available for service. A vehicle waiting too long for cleaning or preparation may represent lost earning time for its owner.
That means good work involves more than cleaning. It also involves arriving when promised, following the checklist, documenting the result, and promptly reporting anything that prevents the vehicle from returning to service.

What should an interested detailer do now?
There is no need to purchase expensive new equipment based solely on a future opportunity. Instead:
- Maintain clear records for your business and insurance.
- Document the types of cleaning you can safely perform.
- Identify the geographic area you can reliably cover.
- Consider whether you can provide before-and-after photos.
- Decide what hours you may be available.
- Express interest with TREVLER so your city and capabilities are known.
Some future assignments may require additional training, equipment, screening, or insurance. Requirements should be disclosed before a worker becomes eligible for that type of work.
When will work begin?
TREVLER has built the technology marketplace, but work volume depends on private owners being permitted to add eligible vehicles to Tesla or other robotaxi networks and on those owners requesting services.
TREVLER is preparing first in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, followed by Tampa, Orlando, and Miami. Other cities will follow as they become ready. Joining early does not guarantee work or income. It places an interested worker in a better position to learn about future requirements and opportunities.
When a person becomes eligible to accept this work through the TREVLER App, that independent worker is called a Trevler.
